Welcome, my name is Ani and today I’ll be showcasing my Stamina Nightblade (Stamblade) build for Flames of Ambition. This build is intended for PvP of all kinds that allow procs: Battlegrounds, Dueling and Imperial City. This build functions well in both CP and no-CP without any changes. This build focuses primarily on mobility and kiting for my defensive measures. PvP builds are very personal and that this is what worked for me. If you don’t like something about it, you should change it to fit your playstyle.
Setup
Before we get started, here are a few notes / tips regarding this build:
- Try to pick up all the Essence Thief procs (runes) unless you physically can’t due to the rune parkouring up a tree, or you having 20 people chasing you. Making your decision on the appropriate time to pick up these runes will come with practice, but it’s important to always pick them up when possible.
- This build shines in places with good line of sight so choose your locations to fight wisely.
- This build isn’t meant for brawling, so find the appropriate offensive window and pick off the squishy targets first.

Monster Sets
Balorgh – During the tank meta, Balorgh allows you to generate ult and store it. Depending on the enemy, you can save the ultimate to the value needed so you can burst through any enemy.
Bloodspawn – This is a good alternative to Balorgh. Against the high damage players, Bloodspawn makes you a bit tankier and gives you ult generation which is ALWAYS nice.
Engine Guardian – Since Nightblade is a class that utilizes both magicka and stamina pretty heavily, Engine Guardian is a great choice as well (Health is always nice too). It also provides line of sight and body blocks the opponent for you.
Main Sets
Essence Thief – This is one of my favorite sets, period. It provides damage, sustain and health in a 5 piece set.
Powerful Assault – This is also another one of my favorite back bar set. It provides damage and the proc condition is very simple since we use Vigor.
Mythic
Ring of the Wild hunt – The bread and butter that glues all the pieces together. With this ring you will hit max speed cap while sprinting.

Food
We use Bewitched Sugar Skulls since this one food gives us all: Max Health, Max Magicka, Max Stamina and Health Recovery.
Potions
We use Tri-Stat Potions (made with Bugloss, Columbine and Mountain Flower) to help us heal and sustain both our Magicka pool and our Stamina pool.
Poisons
We use Stamina Draining Poisons on the back bar (Can be made in many ways with many effects, but the important part is to have the 5.5 seconds stamina drain effect).
